About Me

My name is Carter McGregor, I am a seventeen year old aspiring photographer, videographer, and graphic designer. Specializing in sports, I have worked for various different clients both long term, and for single weekend jobs at many different levels, from U7 lacrosse, to high school volleyball and junior A hockey. As I continue to develop my skills and gain recognition, I am dedicated to building long lasting relationships with clients and others in the industry.

My love for photography began in middle school, when I found a ton of passion in a photography class. I then received my first camera in 2022, a Nikon D5100 which is still my main camera to this day. For two years the camera sat in its bag relatively unused until 2024, when I brought it to one of my brothers lacrosse games and enjoyed the concept of sports photography greatly. Since then I have worked whenever I can, taking my camera gear to sports games of family members, on road trips, and using it in daily life.

Earlier this year I made the transition from casual photography of family and friends to photography for hire, and have worked in several different age levels in minor, junior, and senior sports. I have also been hired for corporate celebrations and other events such as parades and awards nights. In addition to what I have been assigned to do, I have also attended several professional sporting events, most notably the first round Concacaf Champions Cup match between Vancouver FC, and Cruz Azul. I have also began working for several different clients as a photographer and videographer. This includes filming training camps for Goalie Factory and posting weekly reels, as well as attending the Vancouver Warriors games with the purpose of content creating for the Loose Mesh Podcast.

Looking forward into the future, I plan to continue on strong with no stopping. I am looking to continue building a network of clients and try shooting as many sports as often as I can. And though I have the long term goal of working with an NHL organization by the end of 2026, I make sure I am continuously fulfilling my short term goal of learning or improving at something every time I have a camera in hand. Whether thats trying a new angle or different settings, or even simply a difference in editing style. And as I continue to work towards upgrading my equipment to help improve my work, I can’t wait to see what the future holds. You can hire me for any sport at any age group and level, the button below has all of my contact information, and there is a page containing my photoshoot rates on this website.
